Ekundu - Swahili for red

Every day a child under the age of 15 becomes infected with HIV. Many times the virus is transmitted by an infected mother when they are in the womb, during childbirth or through breastfeeding. Of the 5 million children who have been infected, 90% live in Africa. Two pills a day or 50 cents a day can mean the difference between life and death.

The Embroidery Works wants to make a difference by launching our Ekundu Heart campaign to help fight AIDS in Africa. By purchasing these garments a portion of the proceeds will go to The Global Fund to help fight AIDS.

If we look to the children to change the future we must first give them the chance to have a future.
